Background:
I am Samatha fashion stylist at Scandic Desi, the idea of bringing ethnic wear to Scandinavian Desi community had raised in my mind during our summer vacation in the USA.
23rd June 2015 Seattle, USA: My daughter Nikitha was needed a traditional dress, we went to local Desi shops to find one, but could not find a suitable dress for her occasion and we have to manage whatever available there.
As a person living miles away from homeland it is not always easy to find something we like and most importantly that fits well.
When we came home in Oslo and asked ourselves, Are there any good shops or options available to get a nice traditional ethnic wear immediately in a short time?
We visited a few local Asian boutiques to get traditional desi dress,(Indian/Pakistani/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh) it's not an easy task to find the right one that connects to us as per the occasion.
I am very passionate about fashion from childhood as a girl. My love for fashion has never been reduced and it inspired me to understand the market to bring the ethnic garments to local Desi community living in the Scandinavian region.
Along with my team, I spent all my energy in pursuing my passion while conquering my shortcomings to understand customer needs.
